The Detroit Postal Customer Council proudly hosted a successful National PCC Day 2026, bringing together postal leaders, industry partners, and business customers for a day of education, networking, recognition, and innovation. With more than 50 registered attendees, the event demonstrated continued interest in strengthening the partnership between the Postal Service and the Detroit-area business community.
Centered around the theme “From First Mile to Last Mile,” the program provided attendees with valuable insight into the many components that work together to move mail and packages efficiently through the postal network,
A highlight of the event was the keynote presentation from Michigan 1 District Manager Richard Moreton, who shared insight into the Postal Service and its continued commitment to serving customers in an evolving mailing and shipping environment. Attendees also learned about 2027 USPS promotions and opportunities available to help businesses maximize the value of mail.
Another featured presentation, “USPS Logistics: From First Mile to Last Mile,” gave attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the coordination and transportation network required to move mail and packages from their point of entry through final delivery.
The experience then moved outdoors for the Touch the Truck segment, where attendees had the opportunity to get an up-close look at one of the Postal Service’s newest delivery vehicles. Guests were able to explore the vehicle, interact with postal employees, and learn more about how USPS is modernizing its fleet to support the future of delivery.
Throughout the day, attendees had opportunities to network, exchange ideas, ask questions, and build stronger connections with postal representatives and fellow members of the mailing industry.
From the first mile to the last mile, National PCC Day showcased the power of partnership, education, and connection- and set the stage for another successful year for the Detroit Postal Customer Council.
